iCode 4 Kids Mission
iCode4Kids is a non-profit organization in the State of Texas, committed to providing children with opportunities to make a difference in the world through an enriching and immersive foundation in computing and STEAM education.
Goals and Objectives
iCode4Kids is classified as a 501(c)(3) organization by the Internal Revenue Service of the United States of America.
- Provide scholarships to underrepresented and minority children to access and embrace STEAM education.
- Promote the value of STEAM education among children and parents through conferences, hackathons, seminars, and open forums.
- Promote STEAM education throughout rural America

Why STEM?
- “STEM occupations are projected to grow by 17 percent from 2008 to 2018, compared to a 9.8 percent growth for non-STEM occupations”.
- “STEM workers command higher wages earning 26 percent more than their non-STEM counterparts.“
- Given the typical industries found in a rural community, as well as limited access to specialized STEM programs, rural students are less likely to pursue engineering without some form of intervention.

iCode4Kids Conferences
Most schools in the United States today do not give STEAM disciplines the importance they deserve. This results in children graduating from high school without understanding the significance of gaining a better foothold in the STEAM realm. In addition, many parents have insufficient knowledge about the impact and benefits that STEAM education has in their children’s future.
According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, there will be a demand for approximately 1.4 million computer scientists in the United States by 2020. However, the number of IT professionals combined with the number of IT students in universities in the nation today only reaches about 400,000; thereby creating a huge gap in the U.S labor market.
iCode4Kids is committed to spreading awareness and discussing strategies to tackle the issues we face today. If you are interested in collaborating with us, or having our team speak at your company or school, please contact us. We look forward to forging partnerships and working towards a common goal.
